General

I need time to get my documents/ certificate from school. Can I submit them later?

You can fill the form as of now with all the certificates that you have. Later on, you can simply mail us on ugadmissions@mastersunion.org the remaining documents.

I have lost my 10th result (or any mandatory doc) which is mandatory to upload, how to fill the form?

You can upload an application stating the reason of why you don't have it. Make sure to write an official email later on once you have it.

Is it mandatory to submit my class 11th marksheet?

If you don’t have the marksheet for class 11th then you can upload an application stating the reason you don't have it.

Video Essay

Can we edit the video?

Yes, you can but it is not needed. We are judging you on your communication and confidence and not your video editing skills.

When will we get the results for this stage?

Results can be expected to be announced anywhere between 15-30 days after the commencement of the deadline. Post receiving information on your shortlist, you will receive an online Scholarship (Aptitude) Test that you have to take online from home.

Scholarship (Aptitude) Test

I have submitted the video but didn't get the Scholarship (Aptitude) test mail yet.

The email will be sent once your video is evaluated and you are selected. Results can be expected to be announced anywhere between 15-30 days after the submission of the video. Find more details here.

What are the passing marks?

We look into the profile holistically before selecting or rejecting a student. However, please note that 35 marks (out of a total of 45) are the eligibility criteria for scholarship opportunities.

Can I submit my SAT Score instead of taking the Masters’ Union (Aptitude) Test?

Yes, students also have the option to provide their JEE/IPMAT/SAT/CUET scores. The Scholarship (Aptitude) Test becomes optional for those who have provided their scores and they will be shortlisted on the basis of the score. Please note that scholarship test is not just for students looking for scholarships but is also an essential step of our admission process which enables us to assess the analytical capabilities of the student.

How much time do we get to prepare for the (Aptitude) Test?

Students will get a 30 day period to finish the Scholarship (Aptitude) Test. Find more details here

Can we use Calculators?

Yes, students are allowed to use calculators. We suggest you keep a pen & paper handy with you during the test and a glass of water.

Is there any negative marking?

No, there is no negative marking.

What is considered a good JEE/IPMAT/CUET percentile?

Percentile greater than or equal to 90 is considered good.

What is a good SAT score?

Students who choose to submit their SAT scores, a score greater than or equal to 1500 is considered good. Please note the test score is one aspect of your application. Your profile is evaluated holistically.

Can I get an extension to appear for the Scholarship (Aptitude) test?

You can write an email to the ugadmissions@mastersunion.org, attaching the specific documents explaining why an extension is needed. Extension can be granted in genuine cases, as per consideration via email.

How can we prepare for the Scholarship (Aptitude) test?

When will the results for Scholarship (Aptitude) test be announced?

Results can be expected to be announced anywhere between 15-30 days after the test deadline.

Business Simulation/ PI

Is the business simulation/ personal inetrview conducted online or offline?

The in-person business simulation and interview will be conducted on the same day for a student. These will be scheduled across major cities (Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Indore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh) in India and over Zoom in exceptional cases.

What is GD or business simulation ? How to prepare for it?

The in-person business simulation will require you to role-play as a CXO of a company and solve its business challenges in a team of 5-6 applicants. We will send you a case study to prepare for the business simulation round prior 3-4 days for preparation. In this round, you will be judged on your creativity, communication, and teamwork skills. You will be participating in a group discussion for 45 minutes followed by a presentation (without any slides).

What happens in the Personal Interview, what kind of questions will be asked?

The interview will be a 1-1 conversation with our faculty or senior leadership. The questions will be around your application and your motivations for applying to Masters' Union. The goal is to know more about you and what you want to achieve at Masters' Union.

Can you share detailed information about GD/PI ?

  • yl-right-arrow The overall process will take around 3 hours.
  • yl-right-arrow The business simulation will last 45 minutes followed by a 15 minute group presentation. You will be working in teams of 4-6 students on a simulated business scenario, where you will be expected to make decisions, analyse data and present your findings.
  • yl-right-arrow The interview will be conducted by a senior leader or a faculty member at Masters’ Union and will be approximately 30 minutes long.You will be asked questions about your application including your achievements, essays and the video essay aubmitted.
  • yl-right-arrow Dress code for the event is smart casuals.

Fees

Is there a firm deadline for payment of the admission fees?

We provide you ample time till July of the academic year so that you can make your decision based on all the admission offers that you have. In case you still want an extension, the same can be granted based on an email request.

What is the mode of payment for the fees?

Mode of payment can be online, net banking, bank transfer or in some rare cases you can even send your cheque. Except for cash, we accept all payment methods.

What is the fee payment schedule?

You can pay the fees semester wise. Starting every semester, you will be notified about the fees due by ugadmissions@mastersunion.org

Scholarship

Does Masters’ Union offer scholarships?

At Masters’ Union we believe that financial constraints should not pose any hindrance to someone’s academic aspirations.We have merit and need-based scholarships for all deserving candidates. A large percentage of our students get a scholarship which can range from 20% - 100% of the tuition fee depending on the student’s performance in the Scholarship (Aptitude) Test. Merit cut-off for the scholarship will be applicable for students receiving at least 35 marks. For candidates keen on scholarship, we encourage you to submit your application early to allow for our admission counsellors to thoroughly review your scholarship case before presenting it to the admissions committee at the time of evaluation.

Is the scholarship for all four years or just for the first year?

Scholarship is awarded for all four years. If a student receives a 20% scholarship, they will receive a 20% scholarship every semester on their respective fees. However, in cases of misconduct or rule violations, disciplinary action may be taken.

Fees

Are there any financing options?

Yes, there are financial institutions that can provide loans for up to 95% of the programme fees to the admitted students. Read here for further details.
